While keen to promote tea as a delicious drink, it is frustrating to see others making dishonest medical claims for tea. One that is seen quite often relates to green tea.
Only today I have seen an infographic claiming that amongst other things green tea fights cancer and prevents dementia and diabetes.
Do you really think that the national health care systems, drug companies and research charities are spending billions of pounds on treatment and search for a cure, if all that was needed was to drink green tea?
Here in the UK the law on food labelling is quite clear.
To make bogus claims about tea is not only misleading but highly unethical. It gives false hope and may lead people not to seek they treatment they need or to make the lifestyle changes that are recommend to help prevent chronic diseases.
